🎵 Best Results Tip: The 12-hole Alto C ocarina covers about 1½ octaves — a 21-note range from concert A4 up to F6. Songs that stay within a narrow melodic range — folk tunes, simple pop melodies, and most video game themes — convert the best. Wide-ranging orchestral pieces may need notes shifted to fit. The importer handles this automatically, but simpler melodies will always sound closest to the original!

MusicXML / MIDI Import

Upload a MusicXML (.xml, .musicxml, .mxl) or MIDI (.mid, .midi) file. Notes are extracted locally in your browser and transposed into ocarina range.

Where to get files: Export MusicXML from MuseScore, Finale, Sibelius, Dorico, or Noteflight. MIDI files (.mid) are widely available online and easy to find for almost any song. Try musescore.com, imslp.org, or search for "song name MIDI download".

🎯 Tip: Melodies that stay within ~1½ octaves convert best. The importer will automatically transpose and fit notes to the ocarina's 21-note range (concert A4–F6), but songs with a narrower range will sound more natural.
